I’m Craig Spence, the person behind Painterly Prints. I’d like to share a bit about my journey and how Painterly Prints came to be, especially for those who appreciate unique and affordable wall art.
Originally from Edinburgh, I always had a passion for art and design, which led me to pursue an Interior Design degree in my early 20s. However, like many, my career took a different direction, and I spent over three decades in the corporate world. Now in my fifties, with an MBA and a renewed desire to follow my passion, I started Painterly Prints.
The concept of Ikigai—finding purpose and passion in what you do—played a significant role in my decision to create Painterly Prints. Having always been fascinated by Japanese design and culture, Ikigai resonated deeply with me. It inspired me to merge my love for art with my business experience, creating an online store that offers accessible, affordable, and high-quality wall art.
